• Scrutiny:
  • Li, 2002, (see Lienhard & Smithers, Lienhard & Smithers, 2002: 404). This species is described a second time as Psococerastis capitulatis Li Fasheng (2002a: 1658) (see Psocid News, No. 5: p. 34). Figures of both descriptions are identical, based on a holotype male (which is the unique specimen mentioned) collected on 9.IV.1992 in Yunnan Prov., Mengla Co. Differences concerning collecting data of the holotypes between these descriptions are the following: Li Fasheng (1995c (p. 323)): 560m, in dead leaves and branches: Li Fasheng (2002a (p. 1916)): Mengling (800m), on tree. However, both holotypes are probably the same individual. In this case the name Psococerastis capitulatis Li Fasheng (2002) is a junior primary homonym and a junior objective synonym of Psococerastis capitulatis Li Fasheng (1995).
