  • Li, 2002, NOTE: By using the spelling microcheilus, Li Fasheng (2002a) automatically selects one of the alternative original spellings [Li Fasheng (1993a:) microcheilius (pp. 373, 374) and microcheilus (pp. 421, 423)] as the correct original spelling (cf. ICZN, 4th ed., 1999, art. 24.2.4.). Lienhard & Smithers (2002) mention the species as P. microcheilius, but their choice cannot be considered as a selection of the correct original spelling because they don't explicitly mention the alternative original spelling (cf. ICZN, 4th ed., 1999, art. 24.2.3.).
