• Nomenclatural details:  NOTE: The spelling "badonelli" is an incorrect original spelling due to an inadvertent error. In the original publication itself there is clear evidence that the species is named after A. Badonnel, the author of "Recherches sur l'anatomie des Psoques", even if his name is cited as "Badonnell", which also does not correspond to the entirely correct spelling (cf. ICZN, 4th ed., 1999, art. 32.5.1.).
